Sitting here on the morning of New Years Eve I have a few minutes to bash out a few words on 2017 and what I am expecting in the coming year. It’s been one of my busiest years as a wedding magician across Norfolk and Suffolk, with a number of bookings in Cambridge and a couple in London too. I started the year wanting to update my website, which I finally got around to doing in November, too easy to put these things off! I’m really pleased with the more modern way it looks now, I’d had the previous incarnation for 5 years which has served me well getting hundreds of close up magic gigs at weddings and parties, but time to update for 2018.
Summer wedding magic season was brilliant this year, I seemed to do loads of wet wedding receptions in 2016 so it was nice to perform a lot of walkaround close up magic at outdoor sunny venues. It seems much more common these days for people to have a reception at a private site, perhaps parents house or a rented country house and then sort out their own catering etc, and I’ve done some excellent weddings along these lines in 2017. I bumped into Ed Overbury from The Great Event Company on quote a few of these that his company had organised, they did a spectacular job at all of them.
For the first time a number of years I have kept New Years Eve free, so no magician for hire tonight. We are having our own party here with 40+ people coming over, keeping the magic locked away and just being a normal party host this evening!
Plenty of bookings already sorted for 2018, a couple of wedding shows in the diary too , always great to perform some close up magic face to face with prospective brides and grooms who are in the early stages of planning a wedding.
If you’re looking for a wedding magician at your reception during drinks (close up magic) or later in the day (usually table magic) then contact me for availability and a price. Or perhaps you have a landmark birthday? More and more I’ve found myself performing as a hired magician at 40th 50th and 60th birthday events in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge.
So long 2017, bring on the next 12 months for magic at parties, weddings and events across East Anglia!
